In 1926, William Herman Lichter graduated from the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago, Illinois. This brilliant man who always believed in the power of natural healing and living a healthy lifestyle thru chiropractic, nutrition and exercise would influence his granddaughter to follow in his footsteps and attend the same chiropractic university and become a chiropractor 56 years later.
Dr. Nancy Elliott graduated from the National College of Chiropractic in 1982. While she was at school with her brother, Dr. Michael Porter, Dr. Elliott met her future husband, Dr. Neil Elliott. They then spent one year searching for the perfect location to open up a chiropractic office. After an exhaustive search, the pair landed in Park Ridge, Illinois, on Oakton Street. They started with just 1000 square feet but now have a 5000 square foot facility have been at the same location, treating patients together for over 30 years.
Dr. Elliott specializes in acupuncture and uses both acupuncture and chiropractic to treat a variety of her patients’ ailments. Using an oriental-based acupuncture practice, Dr. Elliott uses both standard acupuncture, electrical acupuncture and cupping. She has taught anatomy at Worsham, a mortuary college, and she has served on the board of directors of the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. Dr. Elliott is also politically active in her field of practice, serving as second vice president for the Chicago Chiropractic Society.
Dr. Elliott has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Park Ridge, greater ohare association, the Elk Grove Village Chamber, the National Association of Women Business Owners, Illinois Chiropractic Society, the American Chiropractic Association, the Park Ridge Kiwanis Association, and the Park Ridge Women Entrepreneurs. Her hobbies include playing golf and walking her dog, Clementine Cora.
